Scholarship Finder: Logging in as a Reference or Reviewer

MNSU Faculty, Staff, and External Community Resources who are asked to be references or reviewers for students who are applying for a scholarship via the Scholarship Finder app must log in to Scholarship Finder using their StarID or Blackbaud ID to complete the Reference or Reviewer process.

This guide will walk you through the recently revised steps to access Scholarship Finder’s References and Reviewers page.

For MNSU Faculty and Staff with a StarID:

1. Go to Scholarship Finder
2. Click or tap the purple Sign In button on the top right-hand corner
3. Click or tap the tab labeled Applicants and Administrators
4. Click or tap the purple Sign In With Your Institution button
5. On the Minnesota State sign-in page enter your StarID and most recent StarID password in the appropriate boxes then click or tap the green Sign on button
6. Once you are logged in click or tap your initials (e.g., AB for Aaron Backlund) on the top-right corner this will bring down a drop-down menu
7. In the drop-down menu tap or click the desired role you would like to act under (e.g., “Reference” or “Reviewer”) (*Please note if you do not see the desired role in the drop-down menu, please contact the Scholarship Office at scholarships@mnsu.edu)

For External Community Resources or Users without a StarID:

1. Go to Scholarship Finder
2. Click or tap the purple Sign In button on the top right-hand corner
3. Click or tap the tab labeled References and Reviewers
4. Click or tap the purple Continue with Blackbaud ID button
5. If you already have a Blackbaud ID enter your Email Address and password associated with your Blackbaud ID then click or tap the blue Sign in button. If you do not already have a Blackbaud ID tap or click the blue text labeled Sign up next to “Need an account?”
6. Once you are logged in click or tap your initials (e.g., AB for Aaron Backlund) on the top-right corner this will bring down a drop-down menu
7. In the drop-down menu tap or click the desired role you would like to act under (e.g., “Reference” or “Reviewer”) (*Please note if you do not see the desired role in the drop-down menu, please contact the Scholarship Office at scholarships@mnsu.edu)
