How can students access files that were saved on MavDISK?

Body

Overview

This article explains the transition from MavDISK (M: Drive) to OneDrive and outlines how students can store, access, share, and collaborate on files using OneDrive, as well as how to request archived MavDISK files.

How-To

MavDISK (M: Drive) has been replaced with OneDrive for storing files and sharing files. OneDrive has many new features for students including:

  • Files are available to you anywhere you are on any device.
  • Files are versioned and automatically backed up. If you make a mistake, you can revert back to a previous version.
  • Files can be easily shared in various ways with other students or faculty.
  • Microsoft Office document files can use Microsoft Office apps to create and modify your work - and they are automatically saved on OneDrive.
  • Multiple people can be working on the same document at the same time if you share it with them.

Access to Archived MavDISK Files:

If you had files stored on MavDISK that you would like to keep, submit an ITS Service Request. Your MavDISK files can be saved in a .ZIP file and sent to you.
