Overview

Includes requirements for undergraduate Dean's list and how to be re-evaluated for Dean's List after a grade change.

Dean's List

To be eligible for the Dean’s list you:

  • Must be an undergraduate student enrolled in Fall or Spring (no Summer Dean’s List)

  • Must have 12 or more credits (not including Pass/No Credit grades)

  • Consortium or transfer credits are not included in the calculation of the Dean's List

  • Semester GPA of 3.5

  • All courses must have grades reported

  • No courses can be in an I or IP status

A Dean’s List notation is entered on the transcript approximately 6 weeks after the final grading deadline for the term. Each Academic College coordinates their own Dean’s List recognition.

FAQ

What if a grade change makes me eligible for the Dean's List?

If a grade change is submitted after the Dean’s List has been notated on the transcript, the student should submit a question to Registration and Academic Records and request to have the transcript re-evaluated for the Dean's List designation.

If eligible, Dean’s List designation will be added to the academic transcript for the original term that the Dean’s List was awarded, but the information will not be submitted to the student’s newspaper or to the Academic College.
