Replying to Discussion Thread in D2L Brightspace

Shows students how to post new threads and reply to classmates in D2L Brightspace discussions so they can participate effectively in course conversations.

Overview

This article shows students how to post and reply to discussion threads in D2L Brightspace. It is designed to help learners actively participate in class discussions, ask questions, share ideas, and respond to classmates.

1. Login to D2L Brightspace with your StarID credentials.
2. Click on the course in which you'd like to access.
3. Click on Discussions.
4. From the Discussions List, click on the Topic you'd like to reply to
5. To post, click the Start a New Thread button, enter a subject and content, then click the Post button.
6. To reply, click the title of the thread you want to reply to.

6. Click the Reply to Thread button.
7. Edit the title and enter your reply.
8. Click Post.
