Connecting to a Department or Group MavDISK Folder on a Mac

This document outlines the steps to setup your group folder on MavDISK for your mac.

     NOTE: If you are off campus, you will need to install and use the Cisco AnyConnect VPN client.

  1. Select Finder from your dock
  2. Select Connect to Server.... from the Go menu item
  3. Type smb://mavdisk.campus.mnsu.edu/msu
  4. Click the + button to add the server to Favorite Servers
  5. Click Connect
  6. In the Name field, type your StarID
  7. In the Password field, type your StarID password
  8. Click Connect
    Server connect dialog box to sign in with your starID and password
  9. Your MavDISK group folder has now been setup
