StarID: Password Not Synchronized

If your StarID login is working for some services but not others, it may mean your password is not synchronized with our system.

Question

Why does my StarID work for some things, but not everything? What do I do when I can log in to D2L and E-Services but not MavMAIL? 

Overview

If this happens, you can check if your password is synchronized with our system using the following steps:

  1. Attempt to login to d2l.mnsu.edu
    • If this doesn't work, reset your password here
      • If the password reset doesn't work, please contact our IT Solutions Center
    1. If this works, go to the next step 
  2.  Attempt to login to http://mavmail.mnsu.edu 
  3. Attempt to login to http://vpn.mnsu.edu
  4. If you cannot log into the last two URLs, then your password might not be synchronized with our system
  5. If none of the steps above worked, please contact the IT Solutions Center
