Requesting a Change Before the Semester Begins
Beginning June 12, you may submit a Room Change Waitlist form through the Housing & Dining Portal. Use this form to request a room change or a specific roommate. If requesting to live with a specific roommate, both students must submit a Room Change Waitlist request. Your Waitlist form will be considered until noon on August 4. Our ability to your assignment largely depends on the availability of space. Submitting a form is not a guarantee we will be able to accommodate a request.
If your room assignment or roommate changes, we will notify you by e-mail. Once we have changed your assignment, your former room will become immediately available to other students and you will NOT have the option to change back to your former assignment. Room change waitlists are considered in the order they are received by our office.
If we are not able to honor your Wish List request, you will have the opportunity to change rooms during Room Change Days during the Fall Semester (based on availability).
Room Change Days for 2023-2024
Students are allowed to make room changes beginning with Room Change Days in the Residential Life Office.
- September 5-6, 2023: Students may request a room change with Residential Life.
- September 11 – November 17, 2023: Students interested in a room change should inquire at their Front Desk.
- January 22-23, 2024: Students may request a room change with Residential Life.
- January 29 - April 12, 2024: Students interested in a room change should inquire at their Front Desk.
NOTE: Due to the number of students living in the residence communities, room change opportunities may be limited.
