Overview
This article explains how instructors can associate a rubric with an assignment in D2L Brightspace and use the rubric when grading student submissions. Rubrics provide clear grading criteria and consistent feedback for students.
Once a rubric is associated with an assignment, it can be used directly during the grading process.

Outcome
- Navigate to Assignments.
- Click the drop down arrow next to the assignment name.
- Click Edit Assignment.
- Click the Evaluation & Feedback widget to expand it and view options.
- Click Add Rubric, then Add Existing.
- Check the box next to the Rubric you wish to add, then click Add Selected
- Click Save and Close to save your changes.
