Completely uninstall Otter.ai.

Instructions

Step 1 - Delete Your Otter.ai Account

Note: You will not be able to delete your account if you have an active subscription (anything other than Basic plan). A subscription must be expired before you can proceed with the steps below. To forfeit your remaining subscription and to delete your account immediately, contact the Otter Support Team for further assistance.

1. Go to the Otter.ai website and log into your account.
2. Navigate to your Profile and select Account Settings.
3. Under the General tab, select Delete account to remove all associated data.
4. Type in your Otter password. Click Verify and continue, then Delete account.

Step 2 - Disable App Integrations

1. Disconnect all linked integrations, such as calendar connections and OtterPilot, to prevent lingering access.

Step 3 - Uninstall the Application

Windows:

1. Open Settings, then select Apps, then select Installed Apps.
2. Search for Otter.ai, click the three dots next to it, and select Uninstall.

Mac:

1. Open Finder, locate Otter.ai under Applications, and drag it to the Trash.
2. Empty the Trash to complete the removal.

Step 4 - Remove Browser Extensions (If Applicable)

1. Open your browser settings and navigate to Extensions.
2. Find Otter.ai and click Remove.

Step 5 - Check for Residual Files

Windows:

1. Search for %AppData% in File Explorer and delete any Otter.ai-related folders.

Mac:

1. Check ~/Library/Application Support/ and remove any Otter.ai-related files.

Step 6 - Verify Removal from Microsoft Teams (If Used)

1. If Otter.ai was integrated with Microsoft Teams, go to Teams Admin Center and select Manage Apps.
2. Search for Otter.ai and select Block to prevent it from rejoining meetings.

Step 7 - Verify Removal from Zoom (If Used)

1. If Otter.ai was integrated with Zoom, go to your Added Apps.
2. Search for Otter.ai and select Remove.
