Overview
A Zoom Phone holiday greeting is an automated message played to callers during holidays or office closures. It’s set up in the Zoom Phone system and lets you share custom messages about holiday hours, closures, or alternate contact options.
How-To
To add a holiday greeting to your Zoom Phone voicemail, you'll need to access the Zoom web portal, navigate to your Phone settings, and then manage your holiday hours.
Instructions
Step 1 - Access the Zoom web portal:
Log in to your Zoom account and go to the Zoom web portal.
Step 2 - Navigate to Phone settings:
Click on Phone in the left-hand navigation menu and then go to the Settings tab.
Step 3 - Manage Holiday Hours:
Locate the Call Handling section and click Edit next to Business Hours.
Step 4 - Add Holiday Hours:
- Click Manage under Holiday Hours.
- Click Add to create a new holiday entry.
- Enter a name for the holiday (e.g., Christmas) and select the date and time range for the holiday.
- You can choose All Day if the holiday applies to the entire day.
- If it's a recurring holiday, select the recurrence pattern.
- Click Save to add the holiday.
Step 5 - Add a custom audio greeting:
- Under Greeting & Leave voicemail instruction, click Edit.
- Click Add Audio.
- You can choose to:
- Use Text to Speech: Enter your message and select a voice.
- Upload an Audio File: Upload a pre-recorded audio file (MP3 or WAV).
- Record by Computer: Record a new message using your computer's microphone.
Step 6 - Save your changes:
Click Add (or Save for uploading/recording) to save your custom greeting.
Outcome
Now, when callers reach you during your specified holiday hours, they will hear your custom greeting.
