Navigate360: GA / TA Special Login Instructions

The following guide shows GAs and TAs how to access both the Staff and Student Navigate360 sites.

Overview

Graduate Assistants and Teaching Assistants may have access to both the faculty/staff and student sites. For access to the staff site, always use your employee-based credentials (StarID@minnstate.edu) to ensure you are in your Staff role within the system. We encourage you to try logging in with an Incognito browser if you are experiencing login difficulties.

  • Calendar Sync: ONLY NECESSARY if you are holding student appointments (If you need to sync your calendar, only sync your Navigate360 calendar to your employee-based MNSU calendar once available.) DO NOT SYNC ON YOUR STUDENT ACCOUNT. Please see related article for calendar sync instructions.

Logging Into Navigate360 Staff Site

1. Open an incognito browser or private browser (Shift+Control+N on a PC).

2. Open the MSU Navigate360 homepage.

3. Click on the Faculty and Staff login link.Faculty login link to Navigate

4. Use your employee-based credentials, your starid@minnstate.edu login credentials - (no 'go' in the email.)

5. Use your standard StarID password.

6. Should open to Navigate360 Staff role page.

Logging Into Navigate360 Student Site as a GA or TA Using Staff Credentials

1. Open an incognito browser (Shift+Control+N).

2. Open the MSU Navigate360 homepage.

3. Click on the Student login link.

4. Use your employee-based credentials, your starid@minnstate.edu login credentials - (no 'go' in the email.)

5. Use your standard StarID password.

6. Should open to Navigate360 Student home page - with access to all of your student information.

To use the Navigate Student app, you may need to re-login using your STAFF based credentials. The Navigate360 App and Student Desktop site is the only location that you will continue to use your staff credentials to log in. This applies to your time as a GA or TA only and is connected to your contract dates.
