Overview
This feature is currently only supported on Auto receptionist, call queue, and shared line groups.
Users with Online Fax enabled can send faxes directly from their email by addressing them to specific fax numbers. Email to fax is a feature that allows customers to send an email to phonenumber@sendfax.zoom.us, and the attachment included in the email will be sent out as a fax. Sent faxes appear in the user's Sent folder for easy reference. To request to have your Online Fax Enabled, please submit a ticket to IT.
How-To
- Open your preferred email application, Outlook, or Outlook Web App.
- In the To field, enter the recipient’s fax number followed by @sendfax.zoom.us.
Note: The phone number must be in the format country code + phone number. For example: 18162345678@sendfax.zoom.us.
- Attach the files you want to fax.
Note: Supported formats include PDF, JPG, JPEG, TXT, PNG, DOC, and DOCX, with a maximum size of 50 MB.
- When your message and attachments are ready, click Send.
Sent faxes will appear in the Sent folder.
Requirements for using the email-to-fax feature
- Paid user must have one of the following licensing plans:
- Zoom Workplace bundles that include Zoom Phone:
- Zoom Workplace Pro Plus
- Zoom Workplace Business Plus
- Zoom Workplace Enterprise Premier
- Zoom Workplace for Education bundles:
- Zoom Workplace for Education School and Campus Plus
- Zoom Workplace for Education Enterprise Premier
- Zoom Phone plans:
Note: Online Fax is available for all countries, except for Japan and India.
- Zoom Phone Metered Plans
- Zoom Phone Unlimited Plans (Standalone)
- Zoom Phone Pro
- Online Fax feature enabled for the account or phone user
- Zoom desktop app for Windows, macOS, or Linux: Global minimum version or higher
- Zoom mobile app for Android or iOS: Global minimum version or higher
Limitations for the email-to-fax feature
The email-to-fax feature has the following limitations:
- Only the following file formats are supported: PDF, JPG, JPEG, TXT, PNG, DOC, and DOCX. The attachment can only be a maximum of 50 MB.
- Any content added to the email body will not be included in the fax.
- Only the email addresses configured in the authorized list will be allowed to use this feature. Emails from all other email addresses will be discarded.
- Zoom will reject any email addresses that may fail SPF and DKIM checks.
- This feature is currently only supported on Auto receptionist, call queue, and shared line groups.
Outcome
These steps will allow a user to send faxes via email.
