Signing into Zoom on Chromebook Using University Account

Overview

This article explains how to sign in to and use Zoom on a Chromebook using your Minnesota State StarID. It is intended for students, faculty, and staff who need to attend Zoom meetings through their Minnesota State account.

How-To

Signing into and using Zoom:

  • Logging into the Chrome App after it has been installed:

 

  1. Select the Sign In option
  2. Choose the SSO Option
  3. Input minnstate as the company domain

  1. Enter your StarID and Password into the Minnesota State Login page

 NOTE: After 7 attempts, zoom locks your account for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, the user should be able to try again

  1. Select Launch Zoom if it does not open automatically
  2. Zoom will now be available to you via the Zoom app

Outcome

The user is successfully signed in to Zoom using a Minnesota State StarID on a Chromebook. Zoom opens correctly through the app, allowing access to meetings from invitations and enabling full use of Zoom’s meeting features.
