Overview
This article explains how to sign in to Zoom on a Mac computer using a Minnesota State StarID. It is intended for students, faculty, and staff who want to access Zoom meetings through their Minnesota State account.
How-To
Install the Zoom application on your Mac computer. (How to Install on Mac instructions from Zoom)
- Start the Zoom application
- Select Sign In
- Select Sign In with SSO
- Enter minnstate into the Your company domain field, then select Continue
- Upon selecting Continue, your web browser will open onto a Minnesota State sign on page. Enter your StarID and Password and select Sign On
NOTE: After 7 attempts, zoom locks your account for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, the user should be able to try again
- Upon selecting Sign on, your browser will navigate to a minnstate.zoom.us page and will prompt you to Open zoom.us. Select Open zoom.us from the prompt. If it does not automatically prompt you, select Launch Zoom on the webpage
- Your Zoom application should now be logged in as shown below
Outcome
The user is successfully signed in to Zoom on their Mac using a Minnesota State StarID.
