Locating Missing Email Messages in Outlook

Overview

I can't see all my email messages - I see older ones but not newer email messages.

How-To

Instructions

  1. Verify Outlook connectivity
  2. Check all folders to see if message went into the wrong folder
  3. Check to make sure that emails are not being routed into the Focused Inbox (ViewShow Focused Inbox to toggle ON/OFF)
  4. Check the mailbox rules to rule out any mis-routed emails, if needed, remove the rule
  5. Compare results from the web client to the local client by going to Office.com and sign in with your StarID and password

Outcome

No issues detected - Outlook is connected and all messages are appearing correctly across all folders and clients.
