Overview
This article explains how to check whether your user account has local administrator rights on a Windows computer. Local administrator access is required for certain software installations and system-level changes.
How-To
- Select the Windows Start button, then select the account button, then select the Change Account Settings option as shown below

- If your account does not have Administrator under your name and you believe to be in error, please contact the IT Solutions Center at ITSolutionsCenter@mnsu.edu or 507-389-6654.

Outcome
After completing these steps, you will know whether your Windows account has local administrator privileges on the device.
