About the Question Library

What is the Question Library?

The Question Library in Quizzes allows you to store Quiz questions for easy reuse within a course.

How can I use the Question Library?

As a best practice for storage, organization, and easy access, we recommend that you create all your questions using the Question Library. You can also add questions created within the Quizzes tool by importing them back into the Question Library.

Organize the Question Library

Create multiple Sections within the Question Library to organize your questions by type, learning outcome, and/or topic, making it easier for you to find questions for your quizzes.

To Organize the Question Library using Sections:

1. Navigate to Quizzes.
2. Click the Question Library tab.
3. Click the New button.
4. Click Section from the drop down menu.
5. Enter a Section Title.
6. If you wish to hide the Section Title from students check the box next to Hide Section Title from Students.
7. Optional: Enter a Section Text description.
8. If you wish to hide the Section Description from students check the box next to Hide Section Text from Students.
9. If you wish to shuffle questions in the Section, check the box next to Shuffle Questions in this Section.
10. Click Save.

Manage the Question Library

Manage Sections and Questions in the Question Library using the Move and Order features.

To move a question or section:

1. Check the box next to the question or section in the Question Library you wish to move
2. Click the Move button at the top of the QL table
3. Click the the title of the Section you wish to move the item to.
4. You will see your item has moved to the new Section.

To reorder a question or section:

1. Click the Order button at the top of the Question Library table.
2. Check the box next to the section or question you wish to reorder.
3. Use the up and down arrows to select a new order for the item.
4. Click the Save button, you will see your item is reordered.
