Posting Content in the Mav Life App as a Department

Question 

How do I post content in Mav Life as a department? 

 

Departments can post on Mav Life as a way to share content with the student audience, including news and events. Note: First, your department needs to be set up with a Service Page in Mav life and you need to have a Campus Cloud account. Don’t have one or not sure? Submit a ticket to get started

Overview 

 

Note: Departments should post their content in the designated News feed and content should be relevant to the student audience. 

 

Option 1: Post Via the Web on Campus Cloud Portal 

  1. Go to the Campus Cloud portal  

  2. Enter your email and password and click “Log In.”  (Your email is your University email address (usually FirstName.LastName@mnsu.edu) and the password is the password you chose when you set up your account.)

  1. Click the “Community” tab in the upper left corner. Then click the “News” tab under Public Channels on the left-hand side.

  1. Make sure to switch from your personal account to the department account. Click on the drop-down arrow next to your name in the upper left corner. Click  “Select Host” and select the department you want to post from.

  1. Type in the text box that says “Add some text to this post...” and upload any image(s) by clicking “Add Images” (square images are best, 1080x1080px).

  1. Click “Post” on the bottom right

Option 2: Post on Your Mobile Device Via the App 

  1. Download the Mav Life mobile app from Google Play or the App Store if you haven’t already. 

  2. Open the Mav Life App and click “Log In"

  1. Log in with your StarID and password.

  1. Click the Feeds button (the center button) on the bottom task bar, then click the three dots in the upper left corner. Then click on the “News” feed.

  1. Make sure to switch from your personal account to the department account. Click on the 3 dots in the upper left corner and click the drop-down arrow next to your name. Under “Use As,” select the department you want to post as.

  1. Click on the text box that says “What’s on your mind” in the center of the screen. Type your post and upload any images (square images are best, 1080x1080px).

  1. Click the “Post” button (shaped like a paper plane) in the upper right corner
