Setting up MavMAIL on Outlook App Mobile Device

Overview

This article provides step-by-step instructions for setting up your university email on a mobile device using the Microsoft Outlook app. 

iPhone

1. For personally owned devices, download the Microsoft Outlook App from the App Store.
2. For company owned devices, download the Microsoft Outlook App from the Self Service App.
   1. Open Self Service App 
   2.  Tap on "MNSU"  
   3. Locate the Outlook App  and Install.
3. Open the Outlook App > Tap Add Account
4. Enter your StarID@minnstate.edu or StarID@go.minnstate.edu 

2. Enter your password 
3. You'll be prompted to authenticate with MFA 
4. Enter your OTP (one time passcode)
5. If you'd like to add another email account, tap Add. Otherwise tap Maybe Later. 
6. You may want to Allow notifications from Outlook

Android  

1. Download the Microsoft Outlook App from the Play Store 
2. Tap Add Account

2. Enter your StarID@minnstate.edu or StarID@go.minnstate.edu 
3. Enter your password 
4. You'll be prompted to authenticate with MFA 
5. Enter your OTP (one time passcode)
6. If you'd like to add another email account, tap Add. Otherwise tap Maybe Later. 
7. You may want to Allow notifications from Outlook

10. You're done! It may take a few minutes for your emails and calendar items to sync.
