Description
MavMail is the official University email service powered by Microsoft Outlook. It is the official communication method for Minnesota State University, Mankato. Check your email often for critical information.
How to Access
MavMail is available through Microsoft Outlook in Microsoft 365 for faculty, staff, and students. Download the desktop app, mobile app, or access it on the web. State-owned computers have the app already installed. If you're logging in for the first time as a new student or employee, you'll be prompted to set up multi-factor authentication, an extra security step.
Log in to MavMail
Login Credentials
- Student, Alumni, and Emeriti Username: YourStarID@go.minnstate.edu
- Employee Username: YourStarID@minnstate.edu
- Password: Your StarID password
Changing Your Preferred Name
Faculty, staff, and students can update their preferred name displayed in most university systems, including Microsoft 365 apps and MavMail. View instructions for preferred name change.
