The Fountain: Content Editing Access (Design Access)

Access to edit/add content on The Fountain is limited to keep content consistent, clear, and relevant for users.  

Approval Process 

  1. Site-Level Approval: Each site can have up to two designated designers. To gain design access, you must first be approved by The Fountain staff, submit a IT ticket to request this. 

  • If you are requesting access for a department within a division or college, you must first get approval from your division’s Content Librarian. 

Requesting Access 

Once you have received approval: 

  1. The Content Librarian must submit a ticket on your behalf. If Fountain Staff approved your request they will submit a ticket on your behalf. 

  1. The request must include: 

  • Your Full Name 

  • Your StarID 

  • The site or page you need design access to 

Training Requirement 

  1. Once your request is reviewed and approved by The Fountain staff, you will be enrolled in The Fountain training within D2L Brightspace. 

  1. You must fully complete the training. 

  1. Notify your Content Librarian or a Fountain staff member once training is completed. 

    • Content Librarians must notify a Fountain Administrator, who will verify that the training has been completed successfully.

  1. Upon successful confirmation of the training being completed, access to your requested site/page may be granted. 

Microsoft Teams Access 

Once enrolled in training, you will also be added to The Fountain Microsoft Team, where you can: 

  • View the Handbook 

  • Access brand and photo assets 

  • Stay updated on new features and releases 

  • Ask questions and connect with other content librarians/editors 

Access Granting & Processing Time 

  • Once your training is verified, design access will be granted. 

  • Please allow up to two business days for processing after access is requested.
