How to Give Door Access with Access Manager

This article is intended for those with IT Admin Access.

To add door access for MavCard readers follow the below steps using a web browser.

1. Follow the web link

 http://link.mnsu.edu/aam

2. To login change directory to campus.mnsu.edu

3. Use your StarID credentials.

4. This home screen will display all the rooms you have the ability to give access to. It will also display for each room the number of people that have access to the room.

To Give Access to a User

1. Select the box of the room number you want to give access to. This will give you a list of all the people who have access to that room

2. At the top select the magnifying glass and choose Add Filter.

4. Select the cardholder ID Filter.

5. For value, type in the tech ID of the user you want to give access to. *Note* If the user already has access they will not come up in the search.

6. To give access you select the toggle by the users name to turn it on and make it green.

 7. If there are specific start and end dates you will add those under Set Activation Date.

8. Then choose Apply at the top of the page.

9. Also select  Apply  on the pop up window to confirm the changes.

Additional Notes

- When giving access to a room look at the title this will display the room number as well as the hours access will be given.

- Some selections may have more then 1 card reader that you are giving access to . You can see this after a room is selected at the top of the page. It will say the number of readers.

If you select the "2 Readers" you will see more information about each specific door.

To Remove a User

1. Once logged in select the room you want to remove a user from.

2. Towards the top of the page select the Have Access tab.

3. Look in the list to find the user you want to remove or search for the user's name.

4. Once you have located the user click on the green toggle to turn off the access. 

5. Select Apply at the top of the page.

6. Select  Apply  on the pop up screen to confirm the changes.
