Description
Zoom is our university-wide video conferencing tool available on personal devices, work devices, and in classrooms that allows users to meet online, invite anyone, and join from any device. Employees also get access to Zoom Phone in their Zoom app.
How to Access
Students, faculty, and staff have access to a university Zoom account. Log in online, or download the desktop or mobile app.
Log in to Zoom (select Sign In and you'll be redirected to the login page)
Login Credentials
- Student Username: YourStarID@go.minnstate.edu
- Employee Username: YourStarID@minnstate.edu
- Password: Your StarID password

- App is available free to all students, faculty, and staff
- Majority of classrooms, learning spaces, and conference rooms on campus are Zoom-enabled
- Meetings with up to 300 participants
- Join from a computer, smart device, or phone
- Webinars of up to 1,000 participants (Employees only)(log into the Zoom online portal to schedule and configure webinars)
- Easy scheduling that integrates with Outlook
- Meeting recordings (Employees only)
- Screen sharing and whiteboards
- Accessibility features such as captions and transcripts
