About Us
The IT Solutions Communications Team delivers clear, consistent and impactful messaging to support our campus’s technology initiatives. We aim to bridge the gap between complex IT systems and the university community by crafting content that informs, educates, and engages.
What We Do
We collaborate with ITS staff, teams, and the greater campus community to:
- Develop communication strategies for technology tools, services, projects, initiatives, and outages.
- Create user-friendly guides, announcements, and templates.
- Promote IT initiatives through digital channels such as email campaigns, newsletters, visuals, and more.
- Coordinate training materials and webinars.
- Provide branding resources and style guidelines for professional, consistent messaging.
- Manage The Fountain (along with the President's Office), the university’s internal communications site.
- Lead marketing, communications, and branding for Maverick Esports.
- Provide IT Video & Digital Media Production services to support multimedia needs across campus.
Communication Services We Offer
Consulting, Planning, and Coordination
- Identify communication objectives and audiences.
- Recommend and implement methods, channels, and distribution strategies.
- Schedule messaging and provide planning, results, and feedback.
Business Communications
- Write and edit strategic documents like annual reports, presentations, and strategic plans.
- Refine memos, papers, proposals, technical documentation, and more for clarity and professionalism.
Awareness and Promotional Materials
- Produce or provide feedback on written and visual communications content.
- Design print and digital content such as graphics, brochures, posters, emails, and more.
- Write and edit IT content and manage articles/pages for university platforms.
- Steward the university brand through usage, education, and stewardship.
Advertising and Media
- Coordinate IT/Esports advertising across media outlets, including digital, print, and radio.
