Navigate360: Faculty - Scheduling an Appointment with a Student in Navigate360

Faculty: How to schedule an appointment with a student you are connected to

NOTE: If a student has a connection to you (as a student in one of your classes or as an academic advisee) then they are able to schedule with you from the Navigate360 Student App or Desktop Site. Students must be current students (or within one year of last registration) to retain access to their MavMail. Students may lose access to the Navigate360 Student site if they are not currently registered or actively registered for a future term.

Scheduling from the student view is very straight forward.

If you choose to schedule from your faculty / staff view in Navigate, please follow these instructions and reach out to navigate360@mnsu.edu with any questions.

How-To

  1. Log into Navigate360 and ensure you are on your “Staff” profile.  

  1. Using the top search bar, enter in the student’s TechID, StarID or, if needed, their first name/last name. Best practice is to use their TechID and/or StarID as this is the most accurate way to ensure you are pulling the right student.

  1. When the name of the student you want to find pops up in the drop down menu on the search bar, click on it to access their profile.  

  1. On the right-hand side of their profile information, you will see a “Schedule an Appointment” link. Click this to start the scheduling process.  Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)

  1. On the Schedule Appointment screen, you will need to choose the Care Unit (Faculty Academic Advising), Location (Faculty Advising/Office Hours), Service (appointment reason/length), and Meeting Type (virtual, phone, in-person, etc.) to schedule the student with you.

  1. Once you’ve selected the appointment criteria listed above, find your name under the “Select an Organizer” area, and click the radio button next to it (may require some scrolling) to see your availability. 

  1.   Pick a current date or date in the future to find open time (green boxes, 0/1). Then, select a time by putting a check in the white square of one of the available green boxes.

  1. lick on “Save Appointment” to submit the appointment request for the student and the staff member they will be meeting with.  Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)

  2. This will bring you back to the student profile and you can confirm that the appointment was successfully scheduled by checking the appointment tab off their main page.

Outcome

Users should have been able to schedule an appointment with an active/currently registered student. If you were not able to locate the student, please contact navigate360@mnsu.edu. Note that faculty members are generally only connected and able to schedule appointments with their advises and students in their classes.
