Overview
This article will show faculty and staff with permissions how to view case comments and updates.
Cases are an electronic case file where staff can coordinate for a single student across departments. Open and closed Cases are stored on the student’s profile page, the Cases page, and in the Reporting section of the platform. Cases provide staff and faculty with permissions to electronically coordinate and collaborate on student follow-up as a result of an issued alert.
Note: As of Fall 25 MavCONNECT has been rebranded as Navigate360.
Both names refer to to the same system which was implemented in Fall 2023 and took the place of our Starfish-based system.
Faculty and staff may continue to use "MavCONNECT" when referring to the system; however, know that MavCONNECT and Navigate360 mean the same thing and refer to the same system.
How to Find Cases and View Case Comments
1. Open / log into Navigate360.
2. Looking at the guide bar on the left hand side of the screen, click on the cases icon (folder or file icon). (If you do not see the following icon, you likely do not have permissions to view cases. Email navigate360@mnsu.edu for more information or to discuss access.)

3. Using the status filter, determine whether or not you want to look at open or closed cases (see screenshot below).
a. With the current Navigate360 setup offered by EAB, it's not possible view open and closed cases simultaneously. You must go back and manually adjust the status filter to view open and closed cases separately.
4. In the opened by filter, type in your name until it becomes an option and then click on it.
5. Click search.
The screen should populate with all of the cases opened in your name that are either open or closed (depending on your selection in the status filter).

6. Click on manage case on the right hand side. From there, you will be able to see all of the updated case details, including comments.
