IT Solutions provides full-service video, digital media, and live broadcast support for academic, promotional, informational, and athletic content at Minnesota State University, Mankato. Applications include promotional ads, testimonials, online educational videos, social media campaigns, live event coverage and broadcasting, and more.

Our in-house team of professional staff and trained student workers collaborate using state-of-the-art equipment and software to bring your vision to life, from concept to final product. We offer services including consulting, scripting, storyboarding, creative direction, filming, editing, animation, motion graphics, captioning, livestreaming, and more.

Key Features 

Video and Digital Media Production 

We support full-service video production for content including:  

  • Academic or course-related videos (credit or non-credit): Content to be used in an academic setting or within courses.  
  • Informational, how-to, or explainer videos: Instructional or step-by-step content to guide an audience through a process or concept.  
  • Promotional or storytelling videos: Digital ads designed to highlight a product, service, or brand.  
  • Podcast, voiceovers, and audio recording: Spoken audio content used for narration, instruction, or entertainment across digital formats.   
  • And more  

To convey messages effectively, we use strategies including:  

  • Motion graphics and animation  
  • On-camera interviews   
  • Supporting b-roll footage  
  • Photos and imagery 

Broadcasting 

We capture unique stories through live event coverage: 

  • Event streaming and recording: Livestreams and recordings of campus events and athletics. Recordings are uncut. 
  • Cable television channel management: Content provided via the Minnesota State University, Mankato campus cable channel 29.2, covering athletic and other campus events.

Cost 

Video and Digital Media Production

Charges apply and vary depending on the project. An estimate will be provided after consultation. 

Event Streaming and Recording

$160 per hour with a minimum 3-hour setup and takedown fee per day. The package includes: 

  • Two cameras  
  • Microphones for the feed (not for the space)  
  • Soundboard and mixing  
  • Streaming to approved sites (Zoom or YouTube) 
  • To add additional cameras: Charge is an additional $40 per hour per camera (up to four cameras) 
  • To add additional microphones: Charge is an additional $20 per hour per microphone (up to four microphones)

Fulfillment Details 

Response may take up to two business days. We’ll consult with you to review your project goals and timeline. A production schedule and estimated costs will be developed based on project scope and team availability. Fulfillment depends on project scope, team availability, and scheduling. Most projects take between one and three months, but can vary widely depending on the project.
