Description

Microsoft 365 is the official suite of apps at Minnesota State University, Mankato. Students and employees get five free downloads of Microsoft 365 for use on work or personally owned devices, plus access to web apps.

How to Access

Faculty, staff, and students can log in online or install the desktop apps or mobile apps. State-owned computers have apps already installed. If you're logging in for the first time as a new student or employee, you'll be prompted to set up multi-factor authentication, an extra security step.

Login Credentials

Multi-factor authentication is required upon login.

  • Student, Alumni, and Emeriti Username: YourStarID@go.minnstate.edu
  • Employee Username: YourStarID@minnstate.edu
  • Password: Your StarID password

Changing Your Preferred Name

Faculty, staff, and students can update their preferred name displayed in most university systems, including Microsoft 365 apps and MavMail. View instructions for preferred name change.
