Overview
This article explains how Recognized Student Organizations (RSOs) can request a new RSO email account or request access to an existing account. RSO email accounts are created and managed through Student Activities after verification that the organization is active and the requester is authorized.
How-To
RSO or recognized student organizations must contact Student Activities. They will put in a request for to generate an account after verification is completed to determine they are an active group and the person requesting it is authorized to do so.
If the Requester Needs a New Account
Fill out the RSO Email Update or Create Account form. The Maverick Involvement Team (MIT) will look over the form and verify if they are an active group and the person requesting it is authorized to do so.
- Go to the form.
- Sign into MavCentral (select Student, Faculty, Staff Sign In).
- Select No for the first question.
- Enter you Full name and your university email (Firstname.Lastname@mnsu.edu).
- Select your existing RSO from the list
- Then list three possible email addresses for your organization in rank of order (first choice to third choice).
- Then list the name, StarID, and position of the officers you want to have access to this account.
- Submit the form. Your request will then be reviewed by the Maverick Involvement Team.
If the Requester Needs Access to an Account

Outcome
After completing these steps, requests for new RSO email accounts will be reviewed by the Maverick Involvement Team. Approved requests will result in the creation of a new RSO email account or updated access. You will be contacted if additional information is needed.
