Connecting to Zoom Using the Crestron in HN 225

Overview

This article outlines how to use the HN 225 FlexSync Classroom with Zoom controlled by a Crestron touch panel.

  • Zoom is controlled by a Crestron touch panel located on the wall between the doors.
  • It is different from a standard FlexSync room in that it does not have a big Zoom touch display. It instead has a small Crestron display for connecting and controlling Zoom.

How-To

Crestron Touch Panel

Connect to Zoom meetings using the Crestron touch panel located on the wall between the doors.

Audio System

Make sure Audio System is on to be able to hear Zoom participants. The power switch for the audio system is in the equipment rack in the closet.

Microphone

Make sure microphone is turned on so Zoom participants can hear you.

Room Display

  • If the room display is off, turn it on using the remote control which should be stored in the equipment rack.
  • The TV Remote Control is stored on the bottom shelf of the equipment rack in the closet.

Camera Controls

If you need to change where the camera is pointing, or zoom it in or out, use the camera controls found in the "More..." menu on the Crestron screen while in a call.

When Done

When done using the system, make sure of the following:

  • Use the Crestron panel to end the Zoom call.
  • Turn off the Microphone to save battery.
  • Turn off the Audio System is turned off.

Outcome

The user will be able to successfully turn on and use the HN 225 FlexSync Classroom system.
