Accessing Adobe Creative Cloud for Students

Overview

This article is intended for students at Minnesota State University, Mankato. It outlines how to access Adobe Creative Cloud, a software suite that includes apps like Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and more.

About Student Access

Students can access Adobe Creative Cloud for free on campus computers or through MavLabs. To download Adobe apps on your personal devices, you must purchase a personal license (Adobe offers a discount for students).

Note: Faculty, staff, and student workers can request Adobe access through the IT Solutions Center.

How-To

Access Adobe for free as a student:

  1. If you don’t already have one, create a free Adobe account.
  2. Access Adobe apps two ways:
    1. On campus: Use a university computer, either in a computer lab or the Memorial Library, to open Adobe apps. They are already downloaded on these computers. Sign in to the apps with your Adobe account.
    2. From anywhere: Use MavLabs on your own computer to virtually access a campus computer. Once connected to MavLabs, open Adobe apps on the virtual desktop and log in with your Adobe account.

Outcome

The user will be able to open and use Adobe Creative Cloud apps.
