Overview

The residence hall network is a shared resource designed for student access to the Internet for appropriate academic and personal use. The network is shared by all students living in residence halls. Your network activity affects the network performance of others. Please be considerate.

Examples of prohibited use include applications that utilize large amounts of bandwidth, such as peer-to-peer file sharing programs, programs that continually click on ads for credit, money, or some other benefit.

OFFICIAL NETWORK USE POLICIES

The network is provided by the university using Charter Communications Residential HSI service. It is important that you read and understand the following policies:

 

Denial of access

Abuse of this system will result in the loss of network access. If access is denied to a student due to inappropriate behavior, it will not be reinstated.
