Accessing MavLABS using Chromebook

Overview

This article gives step by step instructions for accessing MavLabs on a Chromebook.

How-To

In order to access MavLAB computer resources you will need a remote desktop client. We are recommending the Windows App (previously Microsoft Remote Desktop), which can be installed through the Google Play store.

 

 

  1. Navigate to MavLABS
  2. Type in your StarID and password to gain access.

  1. Navigate to the desired machine.

  1. Click Connect to download the corresponding RDP connection file.

  1. Navigate to where you downloaded the file.
  2. Right click on the file and select open with...

  1. From the menu select the RD Client application.

  1. Type in your StarID and password.

    Note that if campus\ is missing from the user line it will need to be added.

  1. Click connect
  2. Review the RDP Certificate and click connect to continue.

  1. Please note that every lab will most likely have a different set of icons and programs installed.
