The StarID is a username used at all the institutions within the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system.

If your StarID login is working for some services but not others, it may mean your password is not synchronized with our system.

You can change or reset your StarID any time by yourself in a few steps.

If you are using your StarID for the first time and/or do not have a password, you will first need to activate your StarID and create your password.

Those that are employed or volunteer to work for The University but are not paid or hired by MSU-Mankato Human Resources and need to have access to University computer or door access need to obtain a MSU, Email, TechID, StarID, and MavCARD identity card. This process is required to get those initial resources.
