Common Chromebook Issues

If you use a Chromebook provided by your high school, you may experience some issues. While Chromebooks may work for light coursework, they aren't fully compatible with all University software. They may not be able to handle complex work or software, and may run into blocked websites. Consider using a personal computer that is not a Chromebook or utilize on-campus computer labs. Check our list of recommended devices.

Campus Wi-Fi connection issues on Chromebook

To connect to eduroam, the official campus Wi-Fi, please follow the instructions to connect to eduroam on Chromebook. Or, contact the IT Solutions Center for support.

App and software issues on Chromebook

The software or website may be unsupported on Chromebooks or blocked by your school's settings, such as Zoom or other apps. Try accessing both the downloaded version and the web browser version (if available). Sometimes an app may run on the web, but not downloaded, or vice versa.
