Overview
eduroam is the preferred secure Wi-Fi network for all students, faculty and staff to use with their personally owned devices. Enroll your device to enjoy Wi-Fi access throughout this campus as well as other eduroam-participating institutions. To connect to eduroam, you must have an active StarID account, a data or internet connection.

- Open wifi.mnsu.edu
- Sign in to Microsoft365
- Click "Download" a file named "SecureW2.onc" will download. It will also open another tab called "Network"


- Click on the "Network" tab and scroll to bottom of page. There is an item called "Import ONC File".

- Click "Import ONC File". Select the "SecureW2.onc" file in the Download folder and click "Open. It should say "Networks imported: 1" at the bottom of the page

- Click the Wi-Fi menu in the bottom of the system tray and connect to "eduroam". It will open a dialog called "Join Wi-Fi network"


- Scroll to the bottom of this window and find input field called "Identity". It likely contains "yourstarid@go.minnstate.edu".
- Set the "Identity" field to be eduroam@mnsu.edu instead of starid@go.minnstate.edu
- Click "Connect". It should connect to eduroam.

- Navigate to Network Settings > Wi-Fi > eduroam

- Enable "Prefer this network"
- Enable "Automatically connect to this network

Outcome
Your Chromebook device is now set up to use eduroam. It will work wherever you are throughout the world that an eduroam network is available if you are a current student or employee at Minnesota State University, Mankato. Changing your StarID password will not require any Wi-Fi related updates on your Chromebook device.
