Installing and Upgrading Perceptive Content

Overview

Install, upgrade, or repair the Perceptive Content (ImageNow) client using Software Center and Windows settings.

Instructions

Client Install

If you have a need to use Perceptive Content / ImageNow and do not have it installed on your machine please use the following instructions. Please note that in order to gain access to ImageNow through the client you need an ImageNow account.

  1. Open Software Center on your asset tagged PC Device.

  2. Select the Perceptive Content Desktop Client install. If there are multiple version please select the highest version available. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)

  3. Click on the Install button and allow the software to install. 

Please note a reboot may be required to finish the installation. 

 

Upgrade

  1. If you receive a message similar to this after opening Perceptive Content follow the steps below.

  3. Open Software Center on your asset tagged PC Device.

  6.  Select the Perceptive Content Desktop Client.
  7.

  9. Choose the Purple Install option and let the update run on your device.
  10.  
  11. **If ImageNow refuses to open after the update. Try the repair steps below**
  12.  If you have any Taskbar shortcuts for Perceptive Content. Remove those.
  13.  To perform the repair go to Apps within the Windows System settings:

  16.  Click on the 3 dots next to the Perceptive application and click modify. This will bring up a new window, click the repair option and then next to run the repair:

Successful installation or repair ensures Perceptive Content (ImageNow) runs smoothly on your device.
