D2L Brightspace: Unable to Upload Documents

Why can't I upload documents to D2L Assignments?

Overview

There is a known issue with D2L Brightspace. If a document has a special character, like / or \ in the title, the user will receive an error message when attempting to upload it to a course offering.

1. Rename the file without using special characters, and only use numbers and letters for the file title
2. For very large media files (audio and video) it is recommended that users use MediaSpace, http://mediaspace.minnstate.edu, and a sharable link or the Insert Stuff feature to share large media files such as videos in D2L Brightspace
