Adobe Error - You Don't Have Access to Manage Apps

Question

How do I fix the error "You don't have access to manage these apps?" 

Overview

If a user is logging into creative cloud and cannot download any apps with the error "You don't have access to manage apps. Permission from your IT administrator may be required to enable apps management"

If user does not have admin rights you must grant temporary admin access and reboot the machine. Then follow the steps below. 

 

  1. Navigate to the following location

Windows: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE\Configs\

Mac OS: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE/Configs/

  1. Locate the serviceconfig.xml file and copy it to your desktop folder
  2. Open the file in Notepad (Windows) or TextEdit (MacOS)
  3. In the serviceconfig.xml file, change the value of AppsPanel from false to true
  4. Save and close the serviceconfig.xml file
