Installing MATLAB for Faculty and Students

Overview

This article explains how faculty and students can install MATLAB and Simulink for academic use. MATLAB and Simulink are mathematical computing and programming tools widely used for coursework, teaching, and research.

Minnesota State University, Mankato provides a campus-wide license that allows eligible users to install MATLAB, Simulink, and supported toolboxes at no cost on personal computers or use MATLAB Online through a web browser.

MATLAB and Simulink are mathematical programming software for computing available to faculty and students. They provide a variety of tools to help with coursework and academic research.

Minnesota State University Mankato offers a campus-wide license to MATLAB, Simulink, and companion toolboxes for free. Use this software on campus computers or install it directly on your personal computer!

 

How Do I Download?

INSTALL MATLAB AND SIMULINK

  1. Click Sign in to get started under the Get MATLAB and Simulink section
  2. You will be asked to create a MathWorks Account using your firstname.lastname@mnsu.edu email address
  3. Once you do that, you will be associated with our MATLAB license and will be able to download and activate the software on your personal computer and start using MATLAB Online from a web browser 

Outcome

After completing these steps, MATLAB and Simulink will be installed and ready for use on your personal computer, or accessible through MATLAB Online using your university license.
