Notes on Timing and End Dates
Start Dates and End Dates on Quizzes provide a window of time during which an attempt may be started by a student. Timing limits the amount of time spent on the quiz once the attempt has started. Timing is an independent function of the End Date.
For example, a quiz has an enforced timing of 60 minutes and a Quiz End Date of Monday, November 21, 2022 at 11:59PM.
The student may begin an attempt up to that End Date and time. If the student begins the attempt at 11/21/2022 at 11:30PM, the timing will allow them to submit the quiz up to 12:30AM, which is 60 minutes after the quiz attempt began.
Note the quiz submission may occur after the End Date. This is a result of the independent function of Timing and End Dates.
