Setting Up Turnitin In D2L Brightspace

Overview

This guide explains how to set up Turnitin Similarity Reports in D2L Brightspace. By following these steps, instructors can enable plagiarism detection for assignments and choose whether students can view their similarity scores.

How-To

1. Click on the Assessment tab, click Assignments from the menu.
2. Click the arrow next to title of the folder. Click Edit Assignment.
3. Click on the arrow next to the Evaluation & Feedback widget, click the Manage Turnitin link.

4. Select the following options to set up a similarity report:
   • Check the box next to Enable Similarity Report for this assignment.
   • Under Display, you may also choose to check the box next to Allow learners to see similarity scores in their submission folder.
5. Click Save.
6. Finally, in the Edit Assignments page, click the Save and Close button.

The changes made should be listed right above the Manage Turnitin button.
