Overview
This article provides instructions for faculty on how to submit a file directly to Turnitin.com on behalf of a student. This process is typically used when submitting outside of D2L Brightspace Assignments or when an instructor needs to upload a file manually to Turnitin.
How-To
First, assure you've completed the steps to create a class and assignment in Turnitin.com.
- Navigate to https://www.turnitin.com and sign in.
- Assure you are on the Instructor tools tab.
- From the Assignment page, Click More actions. Click Submit.

- Select Single File Upload, Multiple File Upload, or Zip File Upload from the drop- down menu.

- If you chose the single file upload, Enter the information in the text boxes. Select the file to upload. Click Upload.
- For the Multiple and Zip file uploads, you just select which file you would like to upload by Clicking Choose File button at the bottom of the step.
- Click confirm.
- When the report is ready, click the similarity score to open up detailed information.

Outcome
After completing these steps, the file will be successfully submitted to Turnitin.com, and the instructor will be able to view and review the similarity report for the submission.
