How do I connect to the projectors in the Johnson Alumni Room on campus?
Overview
Connect with HDMI Cable (Wallplate 1 or 2)
The Wallplate 1 and Wallplate 2 options are HDMI connections for displaying a laptop screen. The Wallplates are located on the front wall of the room on the pillars between the projector screens.

Plug the 15-foot HDMI cable into whichever Wallplate is most convenient for you.

Plug the other end of the HDMI cable into your laptop. There is a USB-C adapter provided if your laptop doesn’t have an HDMI port.

On the Crestron touch panel, select the source that corresponds to the Wallplate being used.


Connect with Zoom
The Zoom option is a wireless connection through the Zoom app for joining Zoom meetings, Microsoft Teams meetings, Google Meet meetings, and wireless screen sharing.

On the Crestron touch panel, select the Zoom source.

If you want to incorporate your laptop display into the meeting, select the corresponding Wallplate button at the bottom of the screen.

Select the Launch Zoom App button to bring up the Zoom functions.

Select the option that suits your needs.

a. New Meeting: Start a Zoom meeting using the room’s assigned meeting ID.
b. Join: Enter the meeting ID and passcode for the Zoom meeting you wish to join.
c. Share Content: Follow the on-screen instructions to wirelessly share the screen of any device.
d. Microsoft Teams: Enter the Microsoft Teams Meeting ID and passcode for the meeting you wish to join.
e. Google Meet: Enter the Google Meet link for the meeting you wish to join.

Exiting the Zoom app: Select the little gray tab at the top of the screen. When selected, it displays a Home icon. Select the Home icon to exit the app and return to the previous screen.
Other Controls

Audio Privacy Button: mutes and unmutes ALL microphone inputs to the room.

Screen Button: allows selective lowering and raising of the projector screens.

Mics Button: displays controls for the individual microphone inputs.
a. Increase or decrease the sensitivity of the LAV (wearable lavalier) microphone, the HH (handheld) microphone, and the ARENA (crowd) microphone.

Hide Image Button: hides and shows whatever is being displayed on the projector screens.

SHUTDOWN Button: ends the Zoom call, turns off the projectors, and raises the projector screens.
Bluetooth Audio Option: on the wall next to the light switches is a device that allows you to connect your phone or other Bluetooth-capable audio source to the ceiling speakers in the room. Follow the instructions on the device.
