Instructions

  1. Locate the Service tag or Express code on the device  (typically this is located on the side or bottom of it)
    1. This will be needed to get the correct drivers.
  2. Navigate to Dell's website, http://www.dell.com/
  3. Select the Support drop down menu.
  4. Click on Drivers & Downloads.
  5. Enter the Service Tag information in the service tag search box.
    1. It may also offer the ability to click 'identify device' which will identify what drivers may be needed for the device you are on
  6. Select a driver category/driver
  7. Click Download and save the file
  8. Run the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions
  9. Restart your computer

Users can locate the correct Dell drivers for their device, download them, and complete installation so the computer runs with the most up‑to‑date and compatible hardware drivers.
