D2L Brightspace: Submit an Assignment (Student)

Question

How do I submit an Assignment in D2L Brightspace? How do I upload a file to share with my instructor?

Overview

Students use the Assignments tool to upload and submit assignments directly in D2L Brightspace, eliminating the need to mail, fax, or email their work to instructors. To upload to Assignments, Instructors must create a submission folder first.

To submit to an Assignment:

1. Navigate to your D2L Brightspace course.
2. Click the Assessments menu.
3. Click Assignments.
4. Click the name of the assignment you wish to submit to.
5. Click the Add a File button.
6. Select a source to upload a file from. Note: My Computer or OneDrive are the most common choices.
7. Follow the prompts to upload the file. If it is a large file it may take a little time to upload fully.
8. Click the Add button.
9. Then click the Submit button.
