Overview
Zoom uses the same ringtone for incoming meeting invites and phone calls. Additionally, users can set distinctive ringtones for their call queue, shared line group, and shared line appearance (assistant) numbers through their audio settings. When calls are received through these channels, the configured ringtone plays consistently regardless of the call's routing path, including direct calls, transfers, forwards, or overflow scenarios. The feature works whether calls are directly dialed, internally forwarded, transferred, or overflowed to these numbers. Access your audio settings to change your ringtone.
How-To
Change Ringtone Using the Zoom Desktop or Laptop App
- Open the Zoom app.
- Click your profile picture in the top-right corner.
- Select Settings.
- Select Audio.
- Scroll down to Ringtones.
- Choose the ringtone you want for:
- Your Extension (internal calls)
- Your Direct Number (external calls)
Change Ringtone Using the Zoom Smartphone App
- Open the Zoom app.
- Tap More.
- Tap Phone.
- Tap Ringtones.
- Choose the ringtone you want for your Extension and your Direct Number.
Change Ringtone Using a Yealink Desk Phone
- Press Menu on the phone.
- Select Basic.
- Select Sound and press OK.
- Select Ring Tones and press OK.
- Choose the ringtone you want for Common or for your extension.
