Overview
This article shows how to share (cast) screens from a computer to the TV in a Teams enabled room on campus.
How-To
Option 1 - Sharing to the TV in the room from within a Teams meeting:
Note: This requires a Teams meeting to already be scheduled in the room first.
Step 1 - On the room's touchscreen display, select Join on the scheduled meeting.
Step 2 - From your computer, open the Teams app and sign in with your university Teams account.
Step 3 - Join the scheduled Teams meeting.
Step 4 - At the top of the meeting, click Share and select the content you want to share.
Step 5 - To stop sharing, select Stop Sharing.
Option 2 - Casting to the TV in the room without a Teams meeting:
Step 1 - From your computer, open the Teams app and sign in with your university Teams account.
Step 2 - On the top menu bar, select the three dots icon next to your profile picture.
Step 3 - Select Cast from the dropdown menu.
Step 4 - Select a nearby Teams Room from the list. Select Next.
Step 5 - If there is a meeting scheduled, an option will appear to either Just cast or Cast and join the scheduled meeting. Select Next.
Step 6 - Choose the content you want to cast to the TV, then select Cast.
Step 7 - To stop sharing, select Stop Sharing. To end the casting session, select Leave or End Meeting. If you select Leave via Teams on your computer, you'll need to also end the call via the room's touchscreen display.
Outcome
The user's computer screen will be casted onto the screen in the Teams room.
