Checking your e911 Location in Zoom Phone

Overview

This article gives instructions for employees to test their location by dialing 933 on their desk phone. In the event of an emergency, if you dial 911 from your Yealink Desk Phone, we want to confirm the location is accurate.

Environment

State-Owned Devices: Equipment provided to university employees and managed by Minnesota State University, Mankato. The steps, tools, or solutions in this article may not work on personal devices due to administrative restrictions or licensing requirements. 

How-To

Test your location:

  1. Dial 933 from your Yealink desk phone.
  2. The recording will go over details about your location, street address and building.
  3. If the information is incorrect or needs updating, submit a ticket to IT Solutions.

Outcome

The user will be able to check their location via their Yealink desk phone.
