Storing and Sharing Files with Microsoft Onedrive

Microsoft OneDrive is the recommended and preferred place to store files and share them with others.
Students Faculty and staff are provided 1 TB of space for file storage.
Here are some of the key benefits of using OneDrive:

  2. Seamless Integration: OneDrive integrates smoothly with Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365, making it easy to use across various platforms.
  3. Automatic Syncing: Changes made to files are automatically synced across all your devices, ensuring you always have the latest version.
  4. File Sharing and Collaboration: Easily share files and collaborate in real-time with others, enhancing productivity and teamwork.
  5. Security: OneDrive offers robust security features, including encryption and advanced threat protection, to keep your data safe.
  6. Storage Management: Save space on your device with Files On-Demand, which allows you to access files without downloading them.
  7. Backup and Recovery: Automatically back up important files and recover them easily in case of accidental deletion or device failure.
  8. Version History: Keep track of changes with version history, allowing you to restore previous versions of files if needed.

How Do I Get To OneDrive?

  1. Sign in to https://mavmail.mnsu.edu and then click on the app launcher (waffle) and click OneDrive.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
     
  2. Download the OneDrive app from the Play Store or App Store, and Sign in using your StarID@go.minnstate.edu (student) or StarID@minnstate.edu (employee) account.

Outcome

Users will be able to store, access, and share files securely on OneDrive.
